I’ve been looking around at things to throw overboard to save money and although I consider it important to keep up on the various coding assistants, I just couldn’t justify Grok anymore. I’ve cancelled my Grok subscription. It’s too bad. I was really rooting for Elon in my tough love sort of way. But his parasite loading is way too high.
Related is this NYT (… I know…) article, in part because they actually got something right: If you have managed a software department for systems integration delivering to markets that demand liquidated damages for errors, then you may be equipped to “manage” these things. Otherwise you’ll be in a world of hurt.
The future looks like it belongs to those fraud artists who can take the money and run and Muslim socialists who cater to the desperation (but I repeat myself). But then there may be a few folks with money who can recognize what they lost when they replaced the founders* of the information industry with H-1bs.
* yeah I know – “founders” – that word has gotten a lot of abuse lately.
