@CTLaw, thank you so much for keeping this tally of arrests and charges.
But, um…I’m wondering: a year from now, will any of these vandals have been actually imprisoned, or even paid any significant fines?
I’ve thought for a long time that all crimes against property should be addressed by reparations.
Yuh that’s right: involuntary servitude, until they’ve paid for the damage or the stolen goods.
I suppose you’ll say this couldn’t possibly be enforced. But let’s try. Because otherwise, I suspect that like with the 2020 summer riots, the perps will be quietly bailed out or just never convicted, the cases dropped en masse after a discreet interval.
