I’ve got a number of family members in the LDS and there is only one, living in the Las Vegas area, that is strict about keeping the supply of food and related supplies stocked. He says that he’ll be giving his food away to the needy in the event of a collapse.
There used to be these things called “Bishop’s Warehouse” or something where people could go – LDS or not – and can food supplies for long term storage. Those have largely been shut down for some reason.
Quite honestly, I’ve even heard that old saw: “Rather be dead…” from some LDS folks. The LDS ain’t what it used to be. Maybe the Reformed folks are different – the ones that stayed behind in the midwest. I know a few of them and they seem pretty serious about survival.
