Dear @Citizen_bitcoin , two things: I gather you are a fellow Pennsylvanian. AND a thirtysomething conservative? YAY!!
No im not saying the Millennilals are RIGHT in their viewpoint. I’m just saying I comprehend it. As far as their parents, well, what generation EVER had it better than the Boomers? ( Now, that’s MY generation, but I was a late bearer—maybe your parents are Gen X (is that what came after Boomers?) Anyway the millennials may feel, as Scripture puts it, verily, you have had your reward.
Kamala is a late boomer, 1964.
Boom not bloom.
Boomers were lucky. Millennials are also fortunate more so in different ways.
Millennials tend to be politically active and strident. They form opinions based on peer pressure. They don’t test their hypothesis or do their own research.
They need thicker skin. Too sensitive and easily triggered.
Generation X was the last great generation. Latch key generation. 1980s music, MTV, Miami Vice. 1984 was a great year. Morning in America
I lived in San Francisco in 1984. The economy was bubbling; California-built PCs were flooding out; the streets were clean; the atmosphere in the city was fun, without depravity; BART was a first-world miracle. Times change!
That was 40 years ago. (Time flies!). Nearly 2 generations. The decline of this republic is now undeniable. Perhaps we have suffered from a surfeit of compassion, as well as incompetent leadership?
San Francisco was a beautiful city in 1984.
There were no tech startups with offices in SF.
In 1984 tech remained in San Jose and Silicon Valley.
@Gavin how many years did you live in SF?
1980 - 1985. It was fun.
Otherwise described as early refinement of emotive virtue signaling (and social division), coupled with fiscal incontinence. Of course, this winning combination has spread nation wide and brought us to the edge of civil war and bankruptcy, respectively. It is the dems’ only accomplishment. Apparently, just enough of the people have caught on and re-elected Trump. I can only hope he has what it takes this time to defeat the entrenched powers committed to our downfall and change our course.
