MEI vs DEI

One problem is lawfare. You would be forced to do what Yale et al. are doing.

With AI, lawfare suddenly becomes a game we might enjoy playing.

Something I have heard from people in that arena – a high proportion of the students in STEM departments, maybe a majority in many cases, are “Daughters of Privilege” – upper middle class and middle class females whose educational experience earned them the prerequisites to qualify for STEM classes. Too many of their male compatriots have been turned off education by the suffocatingly Woke atmosphere in high schools, did not get the science & math prerequisites, and have no interest in subjecting themselves to further indoctrination in over-priced university classrooms.

Of course, the Daughters of Privilege themselves have been indoctrinated, and are highly susceptible to the Woke virus.

This is one of these problems that would take a generation to fix – once we really started trying to fix it.

Anecdotally, I spoke to a physics Ph.D. candidate at Berkeley who was about to leave the program because he couldn’t stand the wokeness. It was a hostile environment for a white male. That was about five years ago.

Just give everyone an A. That’ll improve minority students’ grades.

Problem solved.

How is this legal? California banned racial preferences in university admissions twice (1996 and 2020)

add: from Western Standard,

One former admissions staff said admitting students based on race has turned UCLA into a "failed medical school.”

“We want racial diversity so badly, we’re willing to cut corners to get it,” they said.

"I have students on their rotation who don’t know anything. People get in and they struggle,” a current admissions official said.

"I wouldn’t normally talk to a reporter. But there’s no way to stop this without embarrassing the medical school,” said a UCLA faculty member.

UCLA dropped from 6th to 18th place in rankings of US schools, according to US News & World Report.

Do we know the identities of the helicopter pilot, the FAA controller and the FAA supervisor?

Or is this information going to get buried like we’ve seen before:

There was a rumor, since proven false, that this individual was the helicopter pilot.

And the third musketeer is … ?

What’s behind door number 3, Monty Hall?

This begs the question of whether the families of the other two were offered the opportunity to keep their identities secret.
