The man makes a point. Right noiw you can be ticketed for not wearing your seatbelt. But that ought to be a personal choice, NOT a government mandate. Indeed, there are all sorts of issues relating to driving that ought not to be government concerns. All this has been government “intrusion” that has come over time - surreptitiously.

Liberty dies, one government regulation at a time.

The first _twelve_ launches of the [CORONA](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CORONA_(satellite)) reconnaissance satellite program (conducted under the cover name “Discoverer”) all failed, and it wasn’t until the 14th launch that pictures were successfully returned from orbit. The first _six_ [Ranger](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ranger_program) lunar impact probes failed. Both CORONA and Ranger were launched by rockets originally developed as ballistic missiles which were considered mature by the time they were used to launch the spacecraft.

> The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to hear an appeal by former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin of his conviction for the murder of George Floyd during a 2020 arrest, which sparked widespread protests against police brutality and racism.
>
> The justices turned away Chauvin’s appeal that he filed after a Minnesota appellate court upheld his 2021 murder conviction and rejected his request for a new trial. Chauvin had argued that jury bias and certain rulings by the presiding judge deprived him of his right to a fair trial under the U.S. Constitution’s Sixth Amendment.
>
> Chauvin, who is **white** , is serving a 22-1/2 year prison sentence for murdering Floyd, who was **Black** , by kneeling on a handcuffed Floyd’s neck for more than nine minutes during an arrest.

_(Emphasis mine)_

Here is [U.S. Supreme Court docket 23-416](https://www.supremecourt.gov/docket/docketfiles/html/public/23-416.html), denying the petition for a writ of certiorari.

So once again there is no justice.

There is ZERO evidence that Chauvin “murdered” Floyd, and **autopsy evidence** he didn’t.

George Floyd was SARS-nCoV-2 positive, that’s the virus that causes Covid-19. The cause of death in the official autopsy report was cardiopulmonary arrest.

What’s worth noting is that in Lombardy, the European epicenter of Covid-19 crisis, there was a 58% rise in out-of-hospital cardiac arrests between Feb 21-Mar 31. More here: [https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMc2010418](https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMc2010418)

Here’s the actual things that George Floyd said during the arrest:
[[1]](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjKjaCvXdf4&t=43m05s)

> I can’t breathe this way… this COVID man…

[[2]](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjKjaCvXdf4&t=41m40s)

> I’ve had COVID man, I can’t breathe

[Experts](https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/toxicologist-testifies-that-drugs-and-heart-disease-did-not-kill-george-floyd) during the trial didn’t really incorporate C19 in this equation:

> Bebarta said Floyd did not die from the low levels of fentanyl and methamphetamine in his system, nor from his heart disease and high blood pressure.

… which is an approach to defense that hasn’t yet been used.

The image is a Principal Component Analysis (PCA) from the 2019 paper, “[Probabilistic ancestry maps: a method to assess and visualize population substructures in genetics](https://www.researchgate.net/publication/331592466_Probabilistic_ancestry_maps_A_method_to_assess_and_visualize_population_substructures_in_genetics)” (full PDF text available at link), where it is captioned as follows:

> PCA clustering Principal Component Analysis (PCA) plot of 20 populations from 1000 Genomes Project, built using 2 first principal components. The following populations were not used to build the map: ASW = Americans of African Ancestry in SW USA; ACB = African Caribbeans in Barbados; MXL = Mexican Ancestry from Los Angeles USA; GIH = Gujarati Indian from Houston, Texas; STU = Sri Lankan Tamil from the UK; ITU = Indian Telugu from the UK

This is the abstract of the paper:

> **Background:** Principal component analysis (PCA) is a standard method to correct for population stratification in ancestry-specific genome-wide association studies (GWASs) and is used to cluster individuals by ancestry. Using the 1000 genomes project data, we examine how non-linear dimensionality reduction methods such as t-distributed stochastic neighbor embedding (t-SNE) or generative topographic mapping (GTM) can be used to provide improved ancestry maps by accounting for a higher percentage of explained variance in ancestry, and how they can help to estimate the number of principal components necessary to account for population stratification. GTM generates posterior probabilities of class membership which can be used to assess the probability of an individual to belong to a given population - as opposed to t-SNE, GTM can be used for both clustering and classification.
>
> **Results:** PCA only partially identifies population clusters and does not separate most populations within a given continent, such as Japanese and Han Chinese in East Asia, or Mende and Yoruba in Africa. t-SNE and GTM, taking into account more data variance, can identify more fine-grained population clusters. GTM can be used to build probabilistic classification models, and is as efficient as support vector machine (SVM) for classifying 1000 Genomes Project populations.
>
> **Conclusion:** The main interest of probabilistic GTM maps is to attain two objectives with only one map: provide a better visualization that separates populations efficiently, and infer genetic ancestry for individuals or populations. This paper is a first application of GTM for ancestry classification models. Our code ([hagax8 (Héléna A. Gaspar) · GitHub](https://github.com/hagax8/) ancestry\_viz) and interactive visualizations ([Ancestry Maps](https://lovingscience.com/ancestries)) are available online.

OK – these truly are the Crazy Years. Little old me just received a personalized letter from someone claiming to be “Joe Biden” – although the scrawled signature looks like it came from an 80-year old guy suffering from senility problems – asking me to contribute to something called the “_Biden Victory Fund_”.

Why should anyone contribute? Because Joe is “_running for reelection to defend freedom, democracy, our fundamental rights, and equality, and to strengthen the economy_”.

As the clincher, the mailing also included an insert from a woman called “Kamala Harris”, although her signature is even worse than “Joe Biden’s”.

Now I am wondering what I did to get myself on this mailing list. Or did Joe pick up such a major contribution from President Xi in San Francisco that he now has the money to mail a personalized request to every taxpayer?

This chart, BTW, would be very different with the same methodology if the non-European samples formed a majority. Then you’d see, say, African or East Asian in the center, with the European samples bunched up in one of the corners. [Structure](https://web.stanford.edu/group/pritchardlab/structure.html) has been developed to address these concerns with a model that’s got better grounding in the actual evolutionary process.

If anyone wants to do this analysis by themselves, here’s a good starting point:

The hackers are self-proclaimed “gay furry hackers” who have posted a sample of the data obtained online, and are threatening to release huge amounts of employee data unless the lab makes a peculiar deal: “We’re willing to make a deal with INL,” says SiegeSec alongside the post, “if they research creating IRL catgirls we will take down this post.”
