Maybe not leader of the free world – but perhaps Macron is finally trying to be leader of France? After all, it is clear that IRGC are trying hard to acquire nuclear weapons, and that they already have missiles which could hit France. It would be easy for Macron to conclude that Russia is not really a threat to France, but Iran is.

You know - the one with “consent of the governed”, with “equal protection under the law”, the “rule of law” and “of the people, for the people and by the people”. What’s astonishing is the speed with which the (imperfect) substantial truth has been drained out of these statements. Also astonishing is the role the left has played (“by any means necessary”) in reversing the very thrust of the Constitution. Instead of protecting the people by limiting the powers of the state, they construe it to limit the powers of the people to have any input whatever on the policies and power of the state. This happened in the historical blink of an eye.

Upon further reflection, this does not say good things about most American white women. The fact that 60% of these putatively conservative white women voted for this is unsettling but, perhaps, unsurprising. I’m guessing the ‘enraged’ chapters of DAR are not in New England.

Unless… Our so-called betters were playing by the Cloward/Piven/Alinsky playbook and wanting to crash the system in a more “noticeable” way - like having the grid fail in as wide an area as possible for long enough for “the centre cannot hold…things (to) fall apart”… They’re doing a pretty good job of breaking things in most every big city before the heat wave, where criminals go unmolested and the actually molested are told “too bad” (unless some white guy in authority over some “oppressed” female “offended” her by saying, for example “you look nice today”). Now there’s a city crime a Soros prosecutor will go after to the max. Synagogue incendiaries, not so much.
