Ukraine and Russia: War and Consequences

What we know about this cluster bomb explosion over a beach, is that missiles were fired, one got knocked off course by the anti missile and what happened happened.
I do not think that this was intentional.
But the fact is that the US/UK is giving ALL data and is doing all the work and only a “dumb” Ukrainian is pressing the button, so the US/UK has plausible deniability.

This is a real ugly war and Russia know that they are fighting NATO and not Ukraine.

The beach and the military airfield. So who’s responsible? Or maybe Russians just need to put a kindergarden on every military base, and then blame Ukrainians.

All those aircraft make a tempting target. So closely parked that you could get a chain reaction if one catches fire.

One of many stories in this war is the lack of hardened aircraft shelters on both sides. Notable because Soviet client states like Hussein’s Iraq were big on them. I guess the Soviets figured they never would fight a tactical war on their own territory. But Russia has had two years to get this right.

Russia has probably had one or two other things to work on over the last few years. But that line of 11 aircraft seems rather imprudent. Prior to Pearl Harbor, apparently US authorities were concerned about local sabotage, and so concentrated their planes in nice neat lines on the tarmac to make it easier to protect them. We all know how that worked out!

Just a random thought – One way of eliminating US/NATO missile launchers would be to create an apparent big soft target in accessible Crimea using old airframes, and then pounce when the enemy took the bait – and not boast about it afterwards. We know so little about what is really going on in Our Betters’ War.

Seems to work pretty well for the palestinians.

You remember the ‘67 War. Israel attacked the Egyptian Air Force at 7:30 AM because their intel told them pretty much all the Egyptian pilots were in their cars, stuck in rush hour traffic on the way to the base. They precision-bombed the aircraft out on the tarmac. So there’s this great picture showing all the individual aircraft enclosures with surrounding berms - and each airplane has a nice, neat bomb crater right in the middle of the fuselage. Destroyed them all.

Israel received zero aid from America in 1967

Great Britain :uk: and France :fr: supplied and sold weaponry to Israel back then and also during the Suez Canal crisis in 1956

The Russians have been painting decoy aircraft on their hardstandings to confuse the Ukrainians …

That’s cute! So there are Ukrainian satellites feeding data to Ukrainian ground stations where Ukrainian analysts are studying the images and selecting targets which they feed to Ukrainian forces operating Ukrainian-built weapon systems?

Or am I mis-spelling “USA”?

This is great news! This means the “Joe Biden” administration can stop spending US taxpayer money & manpower on supplying satellite information and targeting information to the Zelensky regime. And stop flying those expensive drones over the Black Sea, as well. The Ukraine has got everything covered!

Instead, US troops can be brought home from Europe and used to repel the ongoing invasion at the US southern border.

Moldova: Russia-sponsored anti-government protests and election meddling.

Hmmm! A few years back, wasn’t there a similar set of media accusations in another country about election meddling by Russia, which turned out to be media mindlessly reprinting fabrications sponsored by that country’s own politicians & bureaucrats? I wish I could remember the name of that country!
