The religious belief in the Godlike power of the state, which has supplanted the prior Judeo-Christian Western understanding that there exists a spiritual aspect of reality, by contrast, leads nowhere. Scientists of the 17th - 18th centuries, like Newton, studied the world they observed around them because they believed three things: God created the universe; God created humanity in His image; He made a universe of laws, which could be understood by mankind and was thus worthy of study. To scientists like Newton, such understanding revealed the glory of God. The zealous religion of atheism - believing in its own supremacy and unlimited human material power - replaced the former God-centered belief system with exclusively materialist, militant atheism. The state became God. Human arrogance replaced humility. The universe had no creator, mankind arose from random, purposeless processes of matter and energy alone. There is no purpose, no meaning, no hope. There can be no absolute right or wrong. Good and evil do not exist - only what we are told by those in authority over us. This system of belief, now like the air the West breathes, has become the intellectual and emotional foundation upon which western governance now rests. It is in danger of imminent collapse or conquest by an alternative theogony called Islam.
Also obvious is the fact that the distribution of people - ardent materialists - who go out of their way to mock Judeo-Christian scripture (they conveniently pretend the Koran is silent on matters of usually exquisite import to themselves), are the very same people who proclaim their own set of zealous beliefs as set forth in their own brand of scripture - the “scientific” literature. They who presume to control language (their logos), recoil at the term “scientism” - precisely because that is the nature of their entire system of belief - nothing more than their own “received wisdom”, couched as “science”. The truth is that vast swaths of the “peer-reviewed” literature of politics, sociology, anthropology, and psychology are actually a series of self-reinforcing pieties elaborated by so-called experts and repeated as gospel. In fact, many of these “studies” are subjective, uncorroborated and un-falsifiable, even in principle. They are a house of cards resting on a foundation of fine sand. They represent the greatest intellectual error of our times - conflation of the quantitative and falsifiable actual scientific literature with fake science. The fakery has become a codified, quasi-scriptural body of subjective opinion of “experts”, barely camouflaged as “science”. Tellingly, the intensity of the denial in response to this assertion is a pretty solid indication of its veracity. To put it into the vernacular - the one who let the fart is usually its most vociferous denier.
Summary
- human nature -HUMAN ONTOLOGY- includes dependency which is both physical and spiritual. Material dependency may be satisfied in healthy ways among ourselves in communities which may form only by mutual assent. iComunity by its very nature, can never be compelled. Otherwise put: “community cannot be coerced into existence; it can only, by its nature, be voluntary”.
- PROJECTION is the predominant psychological mechanism of the modern left. It is a kind of psychopathology by which those afflicted relentlessly portray a thoroughgoing reversal of reality - a negative (as in photography) as opposed to a positive image of reality. As a result of this manipulation, this group relentlessly accuse others of doing what they themselves, are actually doing boldly, aggressively and, again, relentlessly.
-Because they are incapable of actual care for their fellows, they presume to tell others what is “for their own good” to slyly coerce their acquiescence. They never debate on the merits
-Consistent with reality reversal, the left, themselves, speak and act with arrogant absolute authority on all subjects. Yet they instantly condemn any other individual or group which dares to speak or act with even a modicum of self-assurance, however civil, rational, logical or well reasoned; these, they accuse of “hateful” “supremacy”. They have zero to say about either their own supremacist beliefs and actions or the millennium of expansionist Islamic supremacy, active and accelerating in the world today.
-Because of they can never obtain sufficient control, leftists never go away, like addicts who can never get enough, they never stop. They actually are addicts, but dependent upon the endogenous ‘high’ of self-righteous indignation rather than exogenous drugs. If you doubt this characterization, look at a photo of the facial expressions on those on the front lines of any “demonstration”/riot.
The Legacy Media (the MSM) enables and justifies all this massive fraud.
Modern materialists demand supremacy for themselves, and attack any hint of even normal self-confidence in others:
-they deny human vulnerability and mortality by making man and his institutions Godlike
-they deny human spiritual dependency; replace God’s authority and power with state authority and power, mediated by an ‘elect’ chosen from and by power elites
-they deny good vs evil; replace with variable fiat “values” as announced by “experts”
-they misdirect/distract human attention from the eternal philosophical questions with contrived issues; with bread an circuses
-they accuse, silence, punish “sinners” (disagreement or even basic questions.
-they coerce adherence
-they substitute superficial group identity for unique individual identity for the sole purpose of divide and conquer.
-Corruption of science is used to support the many inversions of reality elaborated by leftist “scholars”. Scientism has put forth an elaborate series of self-consistent pieties, which miraculously all converge to support “progressive” beliefs. Scientism is subjective and religious. It is neither objective nor scientific.
In the end, the entire leftist project aims at universal power and control. It is tyrannical reliant on the psychopathological projection as a tactic of mass manipulation of perception. To borrow from the Biblical description of satan, today’s left have become adept at disguise. In fact it is “deceiver who portrays himself as an angel of light”.
Despite the chronic, deliberate and sophisticated obfuscation, distraction and misdirection, the unvarnished reality of our times remains abundantly clear. The fact that it has “progressed” as far as it has is a testament to its diabolical nature.
APOLOGIA
Much as I have tried to proceed in a rational, orderly and cogent manner, the fact is that this analysis occurs in a incredibly “target-rich” environment. There are so many patently absurd yet now “well-established”/“accepted”/“settled” (or at least repeated ad nauseam) woke pieties that I’m hard pressed to organize them all prudently or temperately. I ask, therefore, the reader’s indulgence. I reiterate, the very fact I must state or emphasize many of these things tells how very steep has been our decline - insofar as restating simple truth. I have endeavored to abstain from misleading emotional argument which so characterizes woke argument. Alas, I have surely failed in places. I am deeply moved by many of these issues and absent their successful refutation, their continued misuse will surely promote further decline of the West.
In a sense, then, the “Summary” of this paper represents a surrender of sorts. I had to give up connecting every one of the elements which are obvious denials of many aspects of simple reality as understood for two millennia (at least) by our predecessors. I am not a professional writer or scholar; my time and attention are limited resources. I simply had to stop trying to show precisely how certain principles were rational consequences of certain facts or were results of human ontology. Lest I fail to include any matters I deem essential, I have merely listed some items in the hope the reader may see the connection or logic I have failed to make explicit.
