Apollo 11 Launch from Mission Control

During the countdown of an Apollo Saturn V launch, firing room personnel and mission control flight controllers communicate on a series of audio “nets” associated with their area of responsibility. It was possible to monitor multiple nets and switch among them as required. Fran Blanche has taken recordings of the Booster, CAPCOM, Flight, and RETRO nets, synchronised them, and combined with launch day footage from numerous sources to provide the audio experience of the launch from mission control along with an omniscient view of events from the launch pad to the VIP viewing stands.
