Avi Loeb on Recovered Extraterrestrial Material

With the claims of former U.S. intelligence agency employee David Charles Grusch (see The Debrief, 2023-06-05, “Intelligence Officials Say U.S. Has Retrieved Craft of Non-human Origin”), claiming the U.S. has in its possession objects

of exotic origin (non-human intelligence, whether extraterrestrial or unknown origin) based on the vehicle morphologies and material science testing and the possession of unique atomic arrangements and radiological signatures,

Harvard astronomy professor Avi Loeb, founder of the Galileo Project, discusses the plausibility of such claims, their significance if the supposed material is made available for independent scientific analysis and open publication, and his own project which hopes, in a Summer 2023 expedition, to recover material from interstellar meteor CNEOS 2014-01-08 which fell in the sea off the coast of Papua New Guinea.

Dr Loeb is author of the 2022 book, Extraterrestrial, about the enigmatic interstellar object ʻOumuamua. His next book, Interstellar, will be published on 2023-08-29.
