Waiting for the Beeās take:
That WAS funny when they put it up. But it isnāt, any more. Havenāt you heard? Obamala Hapless is sweeping all before her!
I just KNEW, in spite of how great things looked for us after the Convention, that the Dementocrats would pull outta their nosedive somehow. And loā¦ā¦
Itās only August
The voters in swing states donāt know the real Kamala yet
Kamala is not Scranton Joe or Sheldon or Tester or Casey
She canāt fake being a moderate
Edit:
Letās wait for their convention in Chicago since it was so peaceful in 1968
I doubt theyāll make the same mistake again but you never know. Donāt underestimate the single-minded cluelessness of the Left.
The protesters canāt help themselves. I predict anti Israel protests especially if Shapiro is the VP selection
update:
The polls are rigged with far more D than R respondents, they can and do make the numbers say whatever they like. The only question is whether Trump will be able to exceed the margin of fraud. Itās unlikely that the Dās care about plausibility.
Next up: WWIII. Prediction: Iran will take the bait, but Israel and the US are going to take serious losses, making the war unpopular at least. Actual US + Israeli + EU + Micronesia capabilities in that theatre arenāt anywhere near those of Iran alone, and utterly outclassed by Iran + Russia + China + N. Korea. US government will be revealed to be even more toothless than expected, out of most weapons within days and unable to produce more. At least one (more) aircraft carrier can be expected to be taken out of action, maybe sunk. (Of the four weāre sending.) Israel may go full Sampson option if pressed, which could lead to revolutions in the US and other countries. Thereās a lot of other ways things could go nonlinear. China has strategists that arenāt idiots, the US doesnāt. There are pre-placed assets in the US, just waiting for the right opportunity and reason. In any event, the Empire is soon going to be seen to be naked.
OK ā¦ but what kind of WWIII?
You are certainly correct that Our Betters are dumb (and self-deceiving). The Othersā Betters are probably ā¦ better. Why would they fight a war when they could more economically bring the West to its knees simply by stopping exports of all the products & materials the West can no longer provide for itself?
And if the US loses an aircraft carrier or two ā so what? Remember how quickly the Afghanistan debacle was memory-holed.
I think this is the key piece of evidence for identifying the antagonist. Chinaās entire economy is based on exports. It is winning relative to the West. Why start a war?
The West will fall apart all on its own. Donāt stop your opponent when they are punching themselves in the face.
If I was China, I would hope the US spends its resources on non-productive avenues while I continue to improve industries such as vehicle manufacturing, airliners, energy, chips etc.
What kind of WWIII? Covert war has been going on for the past 4.5 years, but now it will be overt and hot, now that the opposition is ready and the US realizes its chances of winning arenāt getting any better.
they could more economically bring the West to its knees simply by stopping exports of all the products & materials the West can no longer provide for itself
Itās not certain that China will participate at first, other than by supplying its allies, but if / when it does, sanctions on the US will be among its first moves. China may pretend to be neutral for a bit until it is ready to take Taiwan and US forces have been drawn from the Pacific. And forget forgetting Afghanistan, the US just had an aircraft carrier taken out by the Houthis a few weeks ago. If the US canāt keep the shipping lanes open, not a sea power anymore, no overseas empire, canāt project force, empty threats canāt keep client states in line. On the positive side, no more trade deficit, immigrants mostly go home, but far fewer imports, lower standard of living for decades, at least.
My personal āCome to Jesusā moment was a few years ago in my local hardware store. All the consumables ā nails, screws, nuts, bolts, etc ā were sourced from China, along with almost all of the tools (very well made tools too, by the way). The tools that were not Chinese-made were marked with terms like āAssembled in the USA from imported partsā.
And then we learn that the US cannot even build a weapon system without using Chinese-made components.
It is easy to under-estimate how quickly the US would grind to a halt if China simply cut off the supply of such essential manufactured goods.
I changed the title slightly to accommodate non Babylon Bee humor

I didnāt know that Nazis inherited and maintained the restrictive gun control laws of Weimar Germany. So, I went verifying one of the claims I hadnāt been familiar with, and it checks out:
Which specific claim and how did it check out.
Most of the pro-gun control arguments there in are strawmen or have other impligations their proponents would not want to accept.
Consider:
Regarding the āNazi gun control theoryā, anthropologist Abigail Kohn wrote in her 2004 book:[2]
Such counterfactual arguments are problematic because they reinvent the past to imagine a possible future. In fact, Jews were not well-armed and were not able to adequately defend themselves against Nazi aggression. Thus, reimagining a past in which they were and did does not provide a legitimate basis for arguments about what might have followed.
But as applied to the current situation this should be taken as a warning for Jews to arm up and not repeat the mistakes of the past.
I didnāt know that Nazis inherited and maintained the restrictive gun control laws of Weimar Germany.

āWoman Who Made Career Singing About Her Bad Choices Endorses Kamalaā
Given the news, much less amusing than usual, but still on point.
