It has been suggested to change the name of “New Mexico” to “New America”…
But…
Impossible. Only the state itself can rename a state, through its own constitutional amendment and legislative or voter approval. The President of the United States and federal agencies have no legal authority to change a state’s name.
This is getting out of hand…

Your sense of humor needs a reset. Trump is trolling Lefty, brilliantly. Not quite at the level of Canada as Gay North Dakota but still worthy. You have to admit, Gulf of America was decent, albeit not peak. They’re still fuming over that one.
