On American Greatness today there’s a piece by Hansel, a member of the AFD. (And BTW three nights ago I was walking across the square that appears in the photo!) He says the same thing we the rightly-guided say here: the country is being strangled by its “elites”, The Alternative für Deutschland party truly speaks for the volk. They are not ready to relinquish Germany’s place in history.
In Germany you are not allowed to talk about atrocities “the Germans” perpetrated in WWII, you must say "the Nazis ", as if the Nazis were not home-grown, they were, like, an alien race which commandeered the country. But maybe that’s necessary if the German people don’t want to “relinquish” their place in history.
(An aside: nowhere in the world is it acceptable to visit the crimes of the ancestors upon the children, to espouse collective punishment—EXCEPT in connection with the (numerically limited and relatively brief) practice of African slavery in the U.S…

At least they haven’t changed the name of Friedrichstrasse,n the main street in Berlin. It’s named after Prussia’s great military champion, known affectionately as “Old Fritz”. He’s the King of Prussia who helped us out in our revolution. In Pa, not far from Valley Forge, there’s a town named King of Prussia. In his honor, although most people who hear the name think of the huge, ever expanding shopping mall and commercial complex located there.
This past trip was an extremely luxurious one, which we kinda lucked into, so I didn’t get much contact with the volk unless they worked for Viking Cruise Lines. So I’m kinda shamefacedly redirecting you to articles like Hansel’s.
What I WOUID like to know is, who developed the huge, glitzy projects like shopping malls and theaters which we saw in Dresden, Berlin, and also in Prague? In Prague there is a center called the Palladium, very near the sublime hotel where we stayed, the Imperial Art Deco, and to Old Town: six levels—but mostly underground! It’s not a skyscraper, the facade blends in with the old ornate pastel stuccoed buildings; looking down the street you’d never know it was there! Was it private international corporations who paid for these projects? If so, will they find a (private,international) way to keep the lights and heat on in spite of the energy problems Hansel mentions?

That is indeed a fascinating question. Where did the investment come from? Especially when one considers that there are cities in the UK which were bombed in WWII and still have not properly recovered – definite lack of investment in the “winning” side.
Meanwhile, I took your advice about American Greatness (thanks!) and stumbled across a fascinating article about the intensive German effort to save a humpbacked whale which seems determined to die. The author drew an analogy to the real Germany which lies behind all those glitzy developments:

In the 80s and 90s I made observations about the UK and France. In this century, I have only been to Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Liechtenstein.
Much of London was not bombed flat. But almost every building was damaged. Those many buildings showed evidence of poor repair, such as patches of dissimilar bricks taken from other buildings that had been destroyed. Replacement buildings were built in a hideous immediate post-war style. It was as if they brought back the old window tax.
On the other hand, thanks to surrendering, Paris was beautiful with mile after mile of 19th century and earlier architecture.

The entire paragraph in italics is a near perfect description of the (dis)US today. I have put up several recent links to Germany in the 1930’s (I have been encouraging everyone to read), when they, too, “thought they were free”. Where are the betting markets on who collapses first?

Re Paris, I read that the entire city was wired to be demolished if the Germans lost the war. The order was given, but the general who was supposed to flip the switch just…didn’t. He finished his lunch and surrendered himself.

Exactly! I keep returning to the example of Detroit and Nagasaki in 1945 and today. And Detroit was never bombed.
I recall a trip years ago to Cleveland, Ohio with a co-worker who had never been there before. He was aghast – “It looks like the US was in a war … and we lost!”

To the extent that mutations tend to be recessive (as described by Wright) those social implications are the oppression and slavery of recently evolved populations by older populations when they come into intimate contact through ecological mixing.
Finally, Dawkins “The Extended Phenotype”:
“Do not expect to see animals always behaving in such a way as to maximize their own inclusive fitness. Losers in an arms race [genetic omni-recessives —jab] may behave in some very odd ways indeed. If they appear disoriented and unsure of their footing, this may be only the beginning.”
