In 1986, the illegals everybody was concerned about were Irish. Every construction site in the country was being manned by them. It was 1850 all over again. “Last person to leave Ireland please turn out the lights”, etc.
It’s really unfair to place on Irish immigrants the burden of justifying what’s going on. Yet I run across friends and family members who identify as Irish precisely so they can be on the side that is currently in power.
These people are being used as human shields by the effete elite. They really need to get out of the way cuz we’re coming through them if we have to.
The issue is consent now and it was consent then. Address the issue.
The supposed increasing “consent” for increased immigration is entirely on the Democrat end. Trump’s support of “legal” immigration is going to substantially reduce white turnout in 2024 just as it did in 2020. Jared Kushner is, according to Ann Coulter, the culprit here. It’s not nearly that simple, of course. The “Republican” donor base is hostile to its working class white men.
Any serious discussion about immigrants has to get more granular. Polls asking “In your view, should immigration be kept at its present level, increased, or decreased?” are worthless.
Were the responders thinking about legal immigration, or about the H1-B indentured servitude issue, or about the illegal invasion of aliens? Those are entirely different issues.
It would be quite reasonable for a person to believe that (1) the legal immigration of highly qualified well-scrutinized individuals should be encouraged & increased; (2) the legal immigration of extended family members should be eliminated altogether; (3) the H1-B program should be significantly altered and reduced in scope; and (4) illegal entry to the country by aliens should be actively countered and treated as the criminal activity which it is. How would such a person answer the silly poll question?
Disaggregation costs money that, apparently, Our Junkie Betters think is not well invested in providing better understanding of just what is tearing the country apart at the seams otherwise they’d have a microscope to immigration opinion – especially among military aged men. Better to invest that money in the next fix and, if need be, import hoards of foreign military aged men under whatever “legal” pretext might serve as justification to protect them from the inevitable reaction as civilization collapses around them.
John Derbyshire didn’t do VDARE or his adopted nation any favors when, at NRO, he basically said that “consent” isn’t really an issue because lack of consent was insufficient to muster effective opposition to the contempt in which it was held by Our Junkie Betters:
And so white-Anglo America slips into minority status. Probably we never wanted it to happen. Probably, if asked around 1970 whether it ought to happen, most of us would have said no. The topic never rose to the status of a major political issue among the mass of Americans, though. The coming presidential election will be the first in my lifetime to have immigration as a major theme.
If Americans minded what was happening, they didn’t mind enough to stop it. To be sure, their indifference was aided and abetted by the late 20th-century browbeating campaigns by cultural elites on behalf of “diversity,” “political correctness,” and racial guilt; but Americans didn’t seem to mind those much, either — not enough to rebel against them in any significant way.
This is exactly the same line taken by Democrat apologists for the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, persistently holding in blatent contempt more than a supermajority of “We The People”.
I wish I could locate the article that interviewed one of the “leading lights” of getting that horror signed into law in which he basically quoted Derbyshire’s first sentence in the second paragraph above.*
Are these guys really that stupid? Maybe in Derbyshire’s case he was trying to throw a bone to the traitors at NRO to hold onto his bully pulpit there. So I can perhaps forgive him if he would just come out and admit it was a mistake to provide that demoralizing ammo to Our Junkie Betters.
Sailer is better, I suppose, in characterizing The Nation of Settlers as “A defeated people” akin to the Amerindians: so demoralized that they can no longer put up a fight.
The problem with Sailer’s apology for Our Junkie Betters is that the defeat of the Amerindians was mainly tit-for-tat group force – not fraud. You can negotiate treaties with open force but fraud vitiates the negotiation process. Surrender by the fraud artists (whether “conscious” of their conspiracy or not) is meaningless in any settlement.
* Pew Research can be counted on to provide apologetics for destroying civilization – so it will do as a proxy for now:
Nonetheless, Gallup polls that year found less than 1% of the public naming immigration as the most important problem facing the nation. And, by the end of 1965, the Harris poll found just 3% naming immigration revision as the legislation most important to them. (Back then, Medicare legislation was cited most often – by 28%.)
While Americans were much quieter about immigration back then, the public was divided about the right level of immigration. A June 1965 Gallup poll found that 39% preferred maintaining present levels, almost as many said they should be decreased (33%), and only a few (7%) favored increased immigration.
But in the end, a majority of the public approved of changing the laws so that people would be admitted on the basis of their occupational skills rather than their country of origin. And after the Immigration and Nationality Act was passed, fully 70% said they favored the new law.
Of course, Pew Research omits the fraud that contributed to the “70%”
That’s like the CEO of a corporation saying handing out shares to his relatives is not a violation of his fiduciary responsibility and then proceeds to make his relatives the majority shareholders.
“This bill that we will sign today is not a revolutionary bill.”
I wasn’t justifying it. Just reminiscing.
I agree that RFK’s 1965 statute was the beginning of the end for the U.S.
“Do not expect to see animals always behaving in such a way as to maximize their own inclusive fitness. Losers in an arms race may behave in some very odd ways indeed. If they appear disoriented and unsure of their footing, this may be only the beginning.”
“The Extended Phenotype” by Richard Dawkins
Now we have Musk insulting the intelligence of the core middle class support for Trump who know damn well how negatively their lives have been affected by “LEGAL” tech worker immigration.
This negative impact includes reduced middle class TFR, about which Musk claims to be so concerned. People feel it when their bloodlines are terminated. Musk has gone absolutely insane.
It has been interesting following the discussion on X.
There is no question in my mind that there is a shortage of STEM graduates.
Imagine the shortage if we try to add back manufacturing.
The H1-B visa is probably being abused.
The US culture has indeed faltered. There is an abundance of victimhood and Americans are much lazier than 50 years ago.
DEI is one likely major culprit in the shortage of STEM graduates.
My guess is MAGA will go into a purity death spiral.
Purity Spiral: “LGBTQAFLWERIOCLJKWERL or bust!”
Reality Spiral (version one): “WTFU Trump Pirate Ship”
Reality Spiral (version two): Hmmm… the Trump Pirate Ship has the power right now and its officers are in a Fentanyl haze denial of their part in the destabilization of the US. They may be junkies but they’re OUR junkies. What to do? What to do? Can’t deprive them of their Fentanyl. Junkies in power can’t be dealt with that way. What to do? What to do? Talk nice to them and figure out how to point out their internal contradictions – gently – in hopes they don’t retreat into their junkie denialism midst all the cacophony of war erupting as a consequence of their being in junkie denialism? What to do? What to do?
from Grok:
The number of H-1B visa recipients per year is influenced by several factors including the annual cap, exemptions, and the demand for these visas. Here’s a breakdown based on the most recent data:
-
Annual Cap: The H-1B visa program has a statutory cap of 65,000 visas per fiscal year. There’s also an additional 20,000 visas reserved for those who have earned a master’s degree or higher from a U.S. institution.
-
Exemptions: Certain categories are exempt from the cap, including:
-
Employees of higher education institutions, their affiliated or related nonprofit entities, nonprofit research organizations, or government research organizations.
-
J-1 visa holders who have been granted a waiver of the 2-year home-country physical presence requirement.
-
-
Actual Issuance: Despite the cap, the actual number of H-1B visas issued can exceed 85,000 due to exemptions, unused visas from previous years, or special provisions like those for Chile and Singapore under free trade agreements.
Here are some specifics from recent years:
-
FY 2023: According to data, around 755,020 people were admitted to the U.S. in H-1B status. However, this includes both new issuances and extensions or changes of status.
-
FY 2025 Cap Season: For FY 2025, USCIS received enough registrations to meet the cap, selecting 114,017 beneficiaries through the initial lottery, which resulted in 120,603 selected registrations for the cap. A second selection was needed due to the high demand, selecting 13,607 additional beneficiaries.
-
General Trend: Over the years, the demand for H-1B visas has consistently exceeded the supply, leading to a lottery system for selection. For instance, in FY 2024, there were 758,994 registrations for the H-1B cap, significantly higher than the number of available visas.
To summarize:
-
New Issuances: Approximately 85,000 new H-1B visas are issued each year under the cap, considering both the regular and master’s cap exemptions.
-
Total H-1B Holders: Including renewals, extensions, and changes of status, the total number of individuals in H-1B status in the U.S. can be significantly higher, often in the hundreds of thousands.
These numbers can fluctuate, and for precise figures for a specific year, you’d need to refer to the latest USCIS data releases or reports.
Here’s updated information based on the latest available data:
- India: Continues to lead with approximately 73% of H-1B visas issued in recent years. This trend shows no significant deviation from previous patterns, with a large number of recipients from India in IT and tech-related fields.
- China: The second largest group, receiving around 8% to 12% of H-1B visas. The demand from Chinese professionals remains high, particularly in tech sectors.
-
Canada: While not as dominant in numbers, Canada still features prominently, with professionals often in tech, healthcare, and academia. Specific recent numbers are less publicly detailed but remain consistent with past trends.
-
Philippines: Known for sending nurses and healthcare workers, but also IT professionals, though in smaller numbers compared to India or China.
-
Other Countries: Countries like South Korea, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Brazil, Pakistan, and Nepal also contribute to the H-1B pool, but their numbers are significantly less compared to India and China.
Recent posts on X and web articles indicate:
- A significant portion of H-1B recipients come from Indian IT firms, with about half of all H-1B applications and selections in recent years linked to these companies.
- There’s been a noted decline in sponsorship by some major US companies, which might influence future country distribution patterns.
Please remember that exact figures can fluctuate annually due to various factors like changes in visa policies, economic conditions, or shifts in global talent demand. If you need exact figures for a specific year or more detailed breakdowns, further research might be necessary as comprehensive data for FY 2024 might not be fully compiled or released yet.

Scott Adams WingTFU in real time may be a turning point in “the conversation”. Let’s hope the breach in the dam against the reservoir of truth erodes further and floods the land.
This guy’s story about the culture of fraud is far from news to those of us who worked to build SV for decades before it was overtaken by H-1b fraud. Indeed, during the 1970s I know second hand of at least one upper caste guy at Sun who was so concerned about the lower castes coming to the US creating a backlash due to the culture of fraud that he went back to India.
