The UK is ready for an armed clash with Russia. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Defense of the United Kingdom, John Healy, according to the Daily Express.
> “This is a message to Moscow. Britain is strengthening its armed forces, as well as its industrial base. This is part of our readiness to fight if necessary,” he said, speaking about the increase in British defense spending, RIA Novosti reports.
English bookmakers will probably soon be taking bets on the likely winner in an all-out conflict between the Sceptered Isle and Mother Russia – they gamble on everything else. Wonder what the odds will be?
Consider that Ukrainian drone attacks will attrit the Russian triad down to ICBMs and SLBMs. Then consider the combined forces once the United Kingdom is annexed to Pakistan.
This whole thread is like Comedy Central, beginning with the Brit proclamation of a willingness to fight Russia to the last living American. At least that’s what I got from that.
So now we have the Germans fighting Russia to the last living Ukrainian and the Brits fighting Russia to the last living American. The EU really IS a stink hole of addlepated old ruddies playing with other people’s marbles.
This appears to be more than just a simple tongue-in-cheek comment, albeit funny on its own. But don’t mistake the Russian “involvement” in Ukraine as the best they can do. Even without any other commentary about current status, just keep in mind they beat the bloody Wehrmacht to a pulp in WWII. And they didn’t use any nukes. Had they been in the lead in the ultimate takedown of Japan, it would have been a far bloodier event, and mostly for the Japs.
The London Daily Mail is a rag, but it does at least give us some clues about what the average Brit thinks about his increasingly tyrannical “democratic” government.
The article is what one would expect from the English government. The interesting part is the comments from the Great British Public. Top comment, with 2,300 likes:
“we are too busy investing billions into illegals to worry about national security”
A mere 81 Brits downvoted that comment.
European politicians may bluster about their willingness to go to the mat with Evil Russia … but their populations may not be behind them.
