Electrical Substation Attack in North Carolina—What Happened?

Here is more on the Moore County substation attack on 2022-12-03 in North Carolina. Oil-filled radiators on two step-down transformers were damaged by gunfire, resulting in their disconnection from the grid and loss of electrical power to around 45,000 customers of Duke Energy for up to four days. A second distribution substation was also attacked, but as it was downstream from the main substation, did not cause additional loss of power.
