Examining a Technological Artifact Found on the Moon

When Apollo 12 landed on the Moon in November 1969, astronauts Conrad and Bean found a derelict spacecraft produced by a technological civilisation already present at their landing site. This was Surveyor 3, which had landed in April of 1967. Astronauts removed its television camera and brought it back to Earth so NASA scientists and engineers could study the effects of prolonged exposure to the lunar environment. It is now in the collection of the Smithsonian, where Adam Savage examined it a back room.

Fascinating. Too bad both people wore stupid masks, not to mention Adam Savage wearing a hat indoors.
