The section on “Democracy and oppression” concludes, “… famines tend not to occur in democracies, and none of the catastrophic life-taking famines documented in history have occurred in the context of functioning democratic institutions.” Nowhere in this 19,000 word document do the words “communism” or “socialism” appear.

Published in the echo chamber by the usual suspects; naturally, the word “sustainable” appears repeatedly. I wonder if they count the DPRK as a democracy. That’s how they identify, after all.
