Flying Mach 10 at Ground Level

Suppose you could fly at Mach 10 (around 3.4 km/second) near ground level. What would it look like? We ignore the plasma sheath that would surround an object travelling that speed through the dense lower atmosphere and the devastation left in its wake due to impingement of a catastrophic shock wave and thermal radiation from compression of air yielding temperatures greater than the surface of the Sun.

OK. But if you ignore all the reality, ?what’s the point. Anyone can make up a sped-up movie. Hollywood has been doing it for years. ?Have you ever flown 2-300 MPH feet above a cloud deck. It’s kind of the same except you don’t have to worry about hitting solids so much. Notice that the “simulation” shows no evidence of bumps, rattles, air currents, etc - ALL important to ANY flight close to the dirt. Ask the A-10 jocks. Ask about G-LOK.
