It sounds like one of those 1890s newspaper features about “Life in the 20th Century”, where home kitchens would be replaced by personal telegraphs with which you ordered food from a central kitchen, delivered piping hot in minutes directly to your house by pneumatic tube.

Well, at C1 Espresso in Christchurch, New Zealand, your burgers and fries arrive directly at your table, shot at 140 km/hour from the kitchen through transparent pneumatic tubes that let diners see food on the fly.
