Europe has a nasty history of promoting slavery, going all the way back to Ancient Athens. Spain, England, France, Belgium all have much to be ashamed of. Germany missed out on that, because it was too late to Europe’s colonialism movement. But it seems Germany is now set to make up for that happy accident, demanding not only the unwilling labor of young men but their lives.
Will feminists complain that young Ukrainian women are not also being sent from Germany to their deaths. Equality Uber Alles! Will military-age Ukrainian men in Germany decide they would have a better chance taking up arms against flabby Germany than hard Russia?
One thing is for sure – a future generation of Chinese historians will write “The Decline and Fall of Europe” seeking lessons that China must learn from that wreckage to protect its own future.
