The paper about possible non-randomness of the direction of galaxy spins in the universe is “Detection of a Dipole in the Handedness of Spiral Galaxies with Redshifts z ~ 0.04”. See also the 2022 paper “Large-scale asymmetry in galaxy spin directions – analysis of galaxies with spectra in DES, SDSS, and DESI Legacy Survey” which suggests the spin asymmetry may align with the cosmological axis of evil, about which we had a post here on 2021-11-01.
