Tesla’s AI Day (see “Tesla AI Day 2022”, posted here on 2022-10-01) is not a media event, but technology journalist Ian Cutress wangled an invitation and was able to observe the event from the cheap seats at the back of the room. This is his summary of the state of the Dojo AI training supercomputer project and the Tesla “Optimus” robot.
Photography was not allowed in most of the event, so illustrations are mostly from slides presented by Tesla.
