Intel Expanding Flagship Semiconductor Fab in Oregon

Yesterday, 2022-04-11, Intel inaugurated a major expansion to their flagship semiconductor fabrication facility in Hillsboro, Oregon (near Portland), home to the company’s cutting-edge R&D on process technologies for decades. The D1X site, renamed Gordon Moore Park, is adding the US$ 3 billion D1X Mod 3 facility with 25,000 m² of clean room space and infrastructure to support the current and future generations of ASML extreme ultraviolet lithography machines.
