I was watching a video documentary recently, supposedly on women’s health. Among those shown was a 17 1/2 year old individual who was born female. She was awaiting age 18, when she might legally be started on male hormones in anticipation of “full transition” from female to male. Shown was her meeting with a counselor, a kind of concierge, whose job it was to guide her through the intended process in the clinic. To date, she was only permitted drugs to stop her periods.
As the discussion proceeded, she got around to asking the following question: “At what point in the process will I be able to have sperm with which to inseminate my female partner”? She was shocked by the answer that she would never function reproductively as a male.
My jaw dropped. Here is someone, old enough to understand - had she been given the correct information - that so-called “transition” of sex is in actuality, merely cosmetic. In no case does a person who transitions become a functional, reproductive member of the opposite sex. Biology, after all, remains in force regardless of the vehemence of its contradiction by vocal “activists”. The fact is that the surgically-fashioned external “sexual genitalia” fabricated by plastic surgeons are mere simulacra. They do not function as generally believed. And, they have numerous unpleasant drawbacks.
This raises the question as to where the prevalent beliefs about trans-sexuality come from. In this interview, a representative of one particular clinic did give clear and correct information, which was shocking to a “patient” - one already quite far along into the decision to transition. It seems likely that propaganda rules the day in disseminating information as to what actually happens in pursuing “gender affirming” care to its proclaimed ends.
Of course, “publication” (in the legal sense, as in defamation) of the propaganda is perpetrated mainly by the MSM - according to which transition is an unquestionable, untrammeled good which cures the singular problem - “gender dysphoria” - from which all these people suffer.
So, my question is, is this misinformation - unintentional false information? Or is it disinformation - intentionally false? I must conclude it is the latter. Whenever true believers brook no questions and stigmatize those who merely ask questions, something is amiss. The religious fervor with which this issue is presented is another tipoff. All this is intended to hide the reality from the general public. Trouble is, it also hides it from those suffering from what are usually multiple severe psychological problems, To make matters worse, these problems are being intentionally minimized - displaced, actually - forcibly subsumed within the label of “gender dysphoria” and never treated.
These poor suffering people are being used as pawns in a nasty political power game. No wonder suicidality becomes a problem in such individuals; their multiple other problems are completely ignored as they are made into “poster children” for the cause.
My perspective is that adults may live however they wish. They may have whatever surgery they can find, live any roles they like, wear what they want. I am not interested (so don’t expect me to applaud). Irreversible medical or surgical intervention with such troubles in children, however, is downright evil. They deserve love, support and treatment. “Gender affirming care” has nothing to do with that and must be outlawed for minors.
