Crowley, Kepner, and Brown were all paramedics, not firefighters. Diversity mandates led to paramedics being referred to as ‘firefighters’ and being promoted to fire captains and battalion chiefs and then to the top echelons of the LAFD.

This poor guy saved his house but it’s a hollow victory. If the entire neighborhood is destroyed, what good is it to have one house among ruins? If they’re allowed to rebuild, it may take years. Meanwhile, he’ll live amidst vacant lots. No one would buy such a house for anywhere near its value last week.

Yes, caught that. I was just taking a little liberty there.
I don’t see how those neighborhoods can ever recover. Besides the regulatory issues, the property tax will be unaffordable for the owners of those lots.

I can’t understand how any of this happened! It seems that almost all the people in charge in LA were female – the mayor, the fire chief, the “Water Czar”. And we were all told that the world would be a better place once women were in charge.
Has the evil Patriarchy deliberately created this massive destruction to undermine the rightful place of the females who run our world?

Real estate value is dominated by lot value in the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area. Indeed people pay big bucks to have undeveloped land around their houses.

When you are in proximity to water as is Malibu and insurance companies won’t cover you for fire an obvious investment would be a 500 gallon propane tank fueled pump. Salt water? Remember you’re on a beach. Salt water spray comes in all the time.
