Well, suppose you wanted to make a Standard Reference Chocolate Chip Cookie? Some of the materials, such as wheat flour, dried eggs, and chocolate are available and others can be obtained a laboratory-grade chemical supplies. For a mere US$ 3000 or so, you can obtain enough to make one (count it—one) fairly large cookie.
