Bof(un)A has been de-banking conservatives and business they don’t like for only ideological reasons since at least 2012. This week, they lied outright by denying it explicitly when confronted on Joe Rogan. Of course, fellow travelers Bloomberg reiterated the lies and employed the overworked tired trope - “right wing conspiracy theory”. Leftist ideologues are uniformly noble, after all.
In 2012, BofA, without provocation, de-banked McMillan firearms, maker of the Army’s .50 cal sniper rifle only because they were in the legal gun business. They subsequently did not permit use of their credit cards for gun or ammunition purchases. In an immediate letter I informed them that I thought we had a banking relationship. Now that I understood we had a political one as well, I reminded them that politics flows in two directions and I withdrew, let’s say, a nontrivial amount of my retirement funds which had been on deposit there. Even for bankers, they are especially despicable and their smoldering, foul smelling lies are on full display today. If you use them - you ought to de-deposit and de-card them while sending them the appropriate farewell epithet beginning with F#$& you! It would be richly deserved.
Here’s hoping they face some Trump - inspired, intense, regulatory, diagnostic vault colonoscopy - without anesthesia. It is, after all an accounting instrument designed for bank a$$holes.
