Manufacturing Plastic Buckets in Korea

Global production of high-density polyethylene in 2007 exceeded 30 million tons. Note that manufacturing scrap can be easily ground to pellets and recycled into the moulding process.

Most every time I lug home 42 pounds of Member’s Mark clumping cat litter from SamsClub, I wonder what portion of the $12.98 (pre- 7% county/state sales tax theft) goes toward the cost of the well-designed and very durable plastic bucket. I tend to collect them, rather than automatically throwing them out; who knows their utility in the likely coming collapse. BTW, where I live, these #5 plastic are not recyclable and must go in the regular garbage.
