Massive wiper looks like it has two blades on one arm. In some shots it appears to project above the roofline. In others not.
Mirrors appear not stylistically integrated and are shown uselessly folded back when driving. Could they be merely for compliance with cameras actually performing the function? Will it be a situation of it being sold with disposable mirrors so that owners can pull them off?
Once they hit the market, some of the YouTube truck testers will beat the crap out of them to see how mean they really are. Several million views will likely pay for the damage.
I wonder whether the AutoPilot/FSD is programmed to detect whether the mirrors have been removed and adjust the lateral space requirements accordingly.
The current beta version is 5% smaller than the prototype. Without mirrors, it is still wider than its on road competitors. But the point may be that users will remove the cybertruck mirrors, whereas competitors must retain their mirrors
It also has been decontented to reduce costs. They apparently have dropped from four motors to three motors. Also, they have removed the storage compartments from the rear sail panel area.
And, they have apparently made the front trunk more like that of the F150 Lightning.
