New Yorkers will be getting what they asked for, good and hard. I have no sympathy.

It is worth thinking about the miniscule number of New York City citizens (and voting illegal aliens) who actually physically cast a vote for the Ugandan. Our form of “democracy” is hopelessly broken – and yet that does not even figure as a topic in modern conversation.

Mostly true but it is a prominent topic in certain circles, including on Scanalyst. Furthermore, the topic is far more often discussed now than it was ten or twenty years ago. There has been a shift in attitude toward, and perception of, the role of the citizen in governance and I expect it to gain momentum.

If it doesn’t gain and become dominant, how long do we have to before the police appear at out homes in the middle of the night demanding we take down posts on Scanalyst? This is happening every night somewhere in the “U”K and thousands have been arrested, some jailed for social media posts which “offended” someone somewhere. Is there any doubt we are but one democrat (sic) presidency away from that coming here (even while Starmer is making public statements about their commitment to freedom of speech. He really trusts his propaganda machine.

Democracy or political freedom is overrated and possibly unnecessary.

More critical is the protection of private property rights and other unalienable rights

Milton Friedman in his last foreword to Capitalism and Freedom wrote in 2002 that he was wrong about the role of political freedom. More important are economic freedom and civil liberties.

Militia.Money is basically just Property Money (ie: money backed by property rights) with the critical parameter of “Sovereign” operationally defined.

Friedman and the rest of the “libertarian” crew never want to confront the foundation of property rights in force. By that I do not mean “force” as in “enforcement of property rights under contract”. That merely begs the question. Who enforces the very regime of contract law?

This is one reason for the provision:

All previous agreements between challenger and challenged are automatically suspended during the period of formal combat. There shall be no rules within the combat ground.

Charlie Kirk was starting to realize the fundamental “political” conflict was a conflict between ill-founded monetary regimes and total fertility rates because he had to talk to “young men” without the inspirational music of The Village People.

And then there is Milton Friedman…

AFAIK, Milton Friedman was the best economist we were permitted during the lifetime of Boomers.

That is damning with faint praise because his “best” was merely recognizing that land value tax was “the least bad tax”. But then he stops with the “no dead-weight loss” libertarian cope.

That’s right so far as it goes but it fails to recognize that when a “young man” can’t even carve out enough land to gather enough solar calories from the food chain to support a wife and at least 2.1 children:

Zohran Mamdani wants to turn New York into a third-world hellhole, and he should be deported. He is a communist thief, a liar, a coward, and an enemy to the American people. This article has the truth about this truly evil demon.

They find the three least attractive young Jewish females in the Tri-State Area plus a dude who is not even the kind of dude mentioned in the Hot-Crazy Matrix.

Tucker’s aforelinked rant, hosted by the soon-to-be-assassinated Charlie Kirk is a pretty good summary of The Problem that is leading to Mamdani.

The 9% (top 10%-top 1% wealth holders) doesn’t all hold the 90% in contempt. Occasionally someone like Tucker not only has a bunch of kids, but hasn’t been so alienated from them that he still cares about whether they’ll have a decent shot at so much as a middle class family sufficiently stable to have children themselves.

That’s why he’s “A Problem”.

Once you cross the Rubicon of Getting Serious About The Next Generation, you find yourself confronting the inadequacy of being Merely Serious.

Getting Ruthless becomes necessary.

The only real question is, will the rest of the 9% realize they’ve been conned out of their legacy for a mess of pottage?
