Pervasive Double Standards in Law

I’ll not bother with names, which are irrelevant to this discussion. The principles are what matter. I’m referring to the deportation order for the lead perpetrator of events at Columbia. His deportation has resulted in much hand-wringing and dismay among the usual suspects. The rot is so deeply entrenched, that even conservative writers and sites treat this in the ream of “freedom of speech”. No one addresses the fact that his actions, unlawful on their face, were ignored.

We are to believe it is merely his support of “Palestine” which is the gravamen of his offense. Nonsense! - Like most ‘progressive’ talking points. The absurd part is that those on the right are letting them define words and thereby, the debate (like “mostly peaceful” riots, trespass, mayhem and arson, which can only possibly be perpetrated by the left). Recall that those on the right (with the ‘wrong’ words and mere thoughts, are presumed guilty of felonies by virtue of their mere silence or mien, cf. “eye rape”.

This guy (and many others, similarly situated at other expensive and vastly overrated “schools”), have been engaging in felonious conduct - acts - daily for months. Tolerated or even encouraged by administrations whose goals no longer include much education or original creative thought - other than those intended to destroy the very culture and system which established and continues to lavishly fund. The main product of these benighted institutions is now nihilism and Jew-hatred, burnished with a linguistic academic patina.

There have been many cases, for some time, where double standards have been applied under color of law - as ‘lawfare’. Think “McCarthy-ism”, which after Soviet secrets were revealed, turned out to be substantially true; think Watergate, another successful example - destruction of Nixon by the left). This case is clear and convincing evidence in favor of the assertion that such execrable practice has become structural - cf. “structural racism!”. This unceasing propaganda is uncivil (anti-civil, actually).

The motivation for this practice of equating any right of center words or even thought with incipient hatred, can only be in hopes it will result in violent response. Understanding that stigmatizing the right for mere words of defense against constant libel/slander, the MSM has long been in order to immunize the public as to the purported danger of “extreme right wing” views. All the while, it ignores or denies even the existence of any countervailing extreme left wing views. When was the last time you heard the term “extreme left wing”?

Now, the kind of immunity they intend is not the kind which prevents disease by killing germs. No. It is to establish the kind of immune response which underlies allergy; specifically immediate-type hypersensitivity or anaphylaxis. This has been so successful (the long march through the institutions, writ small) that it is taken for granted in much of society that all non-progressive views are “extreme right wing” and that their mere expression, however meek or gentle - is an incitement to violence or violence per se.

And that is the point. This fellow being deported - thanks to President Trump - is being deported for actions, not words. This can only be complicated for two loud and insistent groups: academics and lawyers. These have so contorted their intellects and emotions through ideology - constipating, thereby their minds (so to speak, with the apt implication) that they can no longer distinguish words from actions. Enthralled by their own incessant propaganda, they cannot even imagine that one of their fellow travelers could possibly utter words which are indeed felonious incitements to violence, in this case mass murder and the very genocide falsely attributed to Israel.

It’s the same principle, modified and writ large regarding Israel: propagandize hatred against the adversary in order to provoke them (in the case of Gaza, commit mass murder, since the adversary, Israel, does no commit gratuitous violence out of hatred) in order to provoke defensive action. The MSM has dutifully “prepared the battlefield” by making the world “allergic” to Israel - consequently, the only nation on earth not legally permitted to defend itself, even from explicit, unending threats of and warlike acts of annihilation.

That, then, is the plight of those individuals and nations which dare to not espouse the progressive religion: individual and/or societal destruction. The double standard - up until Trump, at least - has allowed them to promote their goals by word and deed - with no possible legal means of resistance. It is an invitation to warfare - as the example of Gaza (and Lebanon) makes clear.

An example has conveniently emerged even as I wrote. There was a fire at the mansion residence of PA governor Josh Shapiro. With no facts, immediately this was announced to be arson. It was NOT said that it may have been arson (or a “false flame” attack to stir up antipathy toward Shapiro’s political enemies; or how about the many democrat (sic) anti-semites? I.e. who scotched is bid for VP slot). When the shoe is on the other foot, we are immediately, loudly and repeatedly told “No rush to judgment”. See how structural and ingrained are the double standards? Disgusting!

At the very least, were he on our side, we would have been treated to various theories (not conspiracies, of course) as to how it might have been done by his supporters for his benefit.

There are those who make a good economic argument that the cure for high prices is … high prices. Perhaps by analogy, one could argue that the cure for vitriolic Far Left propaganda is … vitriolic Far Left propaganda.

Think about the world around us. I used to know people who subscribed to The Economist – not anymore. I used to know people who made a point of watching network news – not anymore. I used to know people who had automatic respect for any academic – not anymore. Increasingly, the Far Lefties are screaming in an empty room.

I found it very funny listening to Khalil’s attorneys’ bleating: “The judge had already made up her mind!” Oh boo hoo.
I’m not sure non-citizens HAVE “First Amendment rights”.
Plus I thought the bozo was here on a student visa, and now, he’s not enrolled, so….

But this isn’t the end.

I think it would make sense if, having now had his “due process “, he should be deported, and have to conduct any further appeals from Syria.

OTOH his case was the impetus to expand my latest article, which has been accepted by The Pa Lawyer, from ecclesiastical sanctuary to include scholastic sanctuary.
