The Russian Burevestnik nuclear-powered cruise missile is similar to the Project Pluto nuclear ramjet cruise missile developed in the U.S. between 1957 and 1964, when it was cancelled by the McNamara whiz kids in the Pentagon in favour of the Minuteman ballistic missile.
