Pumpkin in a Computed Tomography Scanner

YouTube user “alanswatches” has assembled a collection of Computed Tomography (CT) scans of pumpkins. The video above is a fly-through from top to bottom, as a Flatlander would see a pumpkin passing through the plane he inhabits. Here is a lateral, side-to-side scan.

Applying false colour visualisation tools intended to identify different body tissues results in some gorgeous images such as the one below. It is just a matter of chance that the rind was coloured orange.
