This Q Branch invention, brought to market by Sanyo in the 1970s, was an elegant entertainment system for a more civilised age. Its 1980s successor, the “ghetto blaster”, not so much.

I remember these as a kid . My older brother had one. Thought it was the coolest thing , and it was at the time. It is embarrassing though , the music was tin can fidelity . Didn’t know any better at the time.
