Recounting the End of Our Constitutional Republic

I spend the past 2 days trying to escape the bleakness I felt after listening to Tucker Carlson’s interview of Mike Benz. On the off chance you still think this is the same country into which you were born, this will cure you of such folly. In the interview, Benz makes clear the present simulacrum of the United States of America puts the former USSR to shame; its propaganda and censorship apparatus was amateurish compared to those based in today’s Washington DC. This sorry state of affairs is the intended result of years of (of all things!) well thought out and executed Soviet subversion of the US, beginning at the end of WWII. It is presented in depth by Yuri Bezmenov.

The talk begins with an explanation of the arrest of Pavel Durov in France, with US involvement. It is very likely to prove a pivot point in history. During Covid, the western nations greatly flexed their only partially developed censorship ‘muscles’. Bezmenov describes the early Soviet methods of mass manipulation of beliefs - especially political thought. Benz reveals the extent to which Telegram is a threat to the perfection of an already pervasive and effective system of propaganda and manipulation of public perception.

Benz describe the shocking degree of coordination of government agencies, their many directly (and indirectly) funded NGO’s - which act as plausibly-deniable effector organs - foreign governments (via US embassies everywhere), multi-national corporations and finally, universities and institutes. There is a ubiquitous system of carrots and sticks, whereby these entities - economic parasites all - happily do the bidding of the US “blob” (to use Benz’ term). Most all are staffed by self-selected statists and totalitarians-in-waiting.

Especially shocking is the ethos which has evolved, whereby any notion that the mission of our government is to preserve our rights, has completely disappeared. In fact, more and more often some spokesman or academic announces that free speech is more harmful than helpful when it comes to statecraft. Rather than consisting of citizens with agency, those whose speech does not conform are referred to as “security risks” and treated as terrorists!

This and much, much more is painfully revealed. The present is dispiriting, the future, bleak. Though it is not discussed, after digesting the interview I found myself thinking that the election of Donald Trump in November will not be allowed to happen. It is not longer actually in the realm of voting by a majority. Even if it nominally is, the “thinking” which motivates the marionette (called ‘citizen’) has been so manipulated as to no longer be representative of anything beyond the effectiveness of the censorship and speech - manipulation, which has been refined to a magnificent refinement. The fact that democrats (sic) are not elected by Saddam Hussein majorities, I’m not sure if that tells us there is still room for improvement or, alternatively, that it means it is sufficiently perfected as to make it look like the winning “majorities” were slim - in order to keep the electorate convinced their votes make a real difference. That’s how sophisticated I believe our rulers are. As AI in their hands improves, I suspect such paragraphs as this will magically disappear from the internet once there no longer exist any encrypted forums like Telegram. Here, we’re for the moment, too small to bother with.

I invite you to listen to this interview. It is surely worth the investment of a little over two hours. Actually, given the pace of the talk, I found I could easily listen at 1.5X speed; that tactic merely concentrated the pain per unit time. If you listen, please comment with your response.
