Launch of General Atomics’ GAzelle satellite is scheduled for 2022-10-07 in a one hour launch window starting at 17:00 UTC from pad 1B at Rocket Lab’s Māhia Peninsula, New Zealand launch facility. The satellite will be placed in a 750 km Sun-synchronous circular orbit at 98° inclination. The GAzelle satellite bus carries the Argos-4 payload for the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The payload was built by the French space agency (CNES), and is part of the Argos system which collects environmental data from fixed and mobile sensors around the world. Around 22,000 Argos transmitters (8000 used to track animals) are in use in more than 100 countries. The Argos programme is jointly administered by CNES, NOAA, and NASA.

At 55 minutes after launch, the Electron kick stage placed the payload in its target 700 km circular orbit and separated from the satellite, concluding a successful mission. This is the 151st satellite launched into orbit by Rocket Lab.
