Once again, the Simpsons were prescient - and it’s spot on for these times. Of course, although they were just funny Simpsons and only cartoons, these episodes caused nary a ripple when they were first broadcast.

Here’s another Simpsons prophecy from season 11, episode 17 (episode 243 overall), “Bart to the Future”, which originally aired on March 19th, 2000.
In Bart’s vision of the future, U.S. President Lisa Simpson says, “As you know, we’ve inherited quite a budget crunch from President Trump…”.
According to the Simpsons Fandom Wiki, Entertainment Weekly called it the “worst Simpsons episode of all time.”
And, still, I like it.
