Spacewalk to Install Roll-Out Solar Arrays on the International Space Station

This spacewalk by NASA astronauts Josh Cassada and Frank Rubio will install a ISS Roll Out Solar Array (iROSA) atop an existing solar panel to upgrade the International Space Station’s (ISS) power generation capability. The EVA was delayed one day due to the ISS performing a debris avoidance maneuver to increase separation from a fragment of a Russian Fregat-SB upper stage which exploded in orbit on 2020-05-08 after completing its mission in 2011 and being left in orbit. A total of 65 pieces of debris were catalogued after the explosion.
