SpaceX plans to launch 49 Starlink satellites into Shell 2, with an eventual 570 km circular service orbit at 70° inclination, on 2023-01-31 at 16:15 UTC. The launch will also carry the D-Orbit ION Satellite Carrier SVC009 orbital transfer vehicle as a ride-share payload, hosting a number of sub-payloads. The launch will be from Space Launch Complex 4 East at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The first stage booster, B1071, will be making its seventh flight. The first stage booster is planned to land on the drone ship Of Course I Still Love You .
The launch has been postponed one day “[t]o complete pre-launch checkouts”. I have updated the original post to specify the new launch time of 16:34 UTC on 2023-01-30.
Launch slipped to second opportunity on 2023-01-30 at 20:26 UTC. I have updated the main post accordingly.
Postponed again to 16:15 UTC on 2023-01-31. I have updated the main post (again) to the new date and time.
