Canada has decided to help clear up a US problem – the surfeit of whining Lefties. Lots of those US citizens have a Canadian ancestor, since many people in the old days emigrated from Europe to Canada, only to see later generations migrate south to seek better opportunities in the US. Now Canada is recognizing people with Canadian ancestors as Canadian citizens.
This seems to be a win-win strategy for both countries. The US will lose some less-than-useful citizens, relieving pressure on housing and making life more difficult for the Democrat Crime Family. At the same time, Far Left Canadian politicians will cement their position in Canadian elections.
I can’t even imagine wanting to forsake our country. For those who do I agree with civilwestman, go. Both sets of my German grandparents arrived in the Portland area via that exact route, and I have no desire to retrace their steps.
If you’re Irish (or if you have an ancestor who claimed to be Irish), come into the parlor, there’s a welcome waiting there.
With both Ireland and Canada being unfortunately Far Left, it does seem to be part of their general move to undermine the concept of “citizenship”. If this is Tuesday, I must be Irish; ask me again tomorrow.
