The Cosmic Background Radiation “Cold Spot” and the Eridanus Supervoid

Here is the research paper, “The DES view of the Eridanus supervoid and the CMB Cold Spot”. “DES” is the Dark Energy Survey, a collaborative astronomical project that uses a variety of observational techniques to map the distribution of mass and dark energy in a large region of the southern sky. The CMB cold spot is an anomalously cold region in the cosmic microwave background (CMB) radiation in a 5° patch of the southern sky.
