That is an interesting topic. We now know with total certitude that the sainted FDR did everything he could to encourage Japan to attack the US, and facilitated in every way possible Japan’s successful attack on Pearl Harbor. It worked! That certainly did rally the country behind the “leadership”.

Even after 9/11, a significant number of people left their jobs and went to the military recruiting office.

Today, if “Joe Biden” puts US soldiers into the Ukraine and gets them killed, the domestic response would probably be similar to the enthusiasm (lack thereof) generated by putting US soldiers into Afghanistan. No rally.

If “Joe Biden” wants the country to rally behind him for a war with Russia, he will first have to get Russia to attack the continental US directly – attacking US bases in Germany just would not do it. But if Russia attacks the continental US, it will inevitably be with thermonuclear weapons, after which nothing matters.

Bottom line is that in today’s society, trying to start a war with Russia is not likely to be an effective way of rallying the population behind “Joe Biden”.

Unfortunately, this is not the Babylon Bee. Khalil appears legitimately idiotic.

The two Roosevelts have done more harm to this nation than any 10 other people in our history, although Tyler might be a rival for that crown.

The interesting fact is that FDR attempted to get us involved in the European land war for a long time before Pearl. He ran a totally illegal war in the North Atlantic for almost 2 years, protecting convoys to England with USN destroyers. One was actually sunk by a U-boat, losing some 240+ sailors. FDR was sure that would move the country to war, but the people responded with a giant “Ho, hum”. Interestingly, Germany did not respond to this provocation. I’m a touch surprised they did to Pearl. Keeping America out of Europe would have been a good idea.

The part I might dispute in your presentation is Russia launching thermonuclear weapons. The Russian nuclear arsenal is not what it was during the Cold War, and corruption has most likely degraded what they do have. The degree of corruption in Russia today may only rival us.

This may explain the “jerk attitudes” of most State troopers. Too much exposure to microwave “radar” speed measuring devices. :smirk:

Better not discount the possibility of a false (mushroom cloud) flag. only our government’s concern for illegal aliens might prevent them from considering it. Their concern for mere citizens is made clearer every moment of every day.

Power is what makes a modern economy run. Pretty much nothing today is not dependent on power… EVEN rustic backwoods places use fire - a form of power.

Which then begs the question, ?why haven’t we built nuke power plants. They are “clean”, the cores last a very long time, and they are generally safe. They also don’t take a ton of labour to run. Germany was well on her way to being energy independent with nuke power, and then they got caught in the grip of STUPID = and deactivated a bunch of them, in exchange for “green power”, that aweful, wasteful backwards approach to power generation. It is as if we have collectively lost our minds.
