In all my 30 or so visits to Zurich, each lasting from 10days to a month, I have eaten at the (there, symbolic-only) Golden Arches exactly one time. That sufficed to satisfy my curiosity as to whether or not Swiss quality could improve beef-ish patties on rolls with trimmings. Meh. Zurich has much more tempting and satisfying fast food - like Cervelat and Bürli with hausgemacht mustard at the famous Sternen Grill in Bellevue.Almost exactly the same price as a Big Mac. My mouth is watering as I write. It is often the first thing I do when arriving in town from the airport.
Here is more about Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which is now available in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, and the Republic of Ireland.
Christopher Rufo’s “The Transgender Empire”: watch it before they take it down.
This is the first I’ve heard of “nullification surgery”, or “nullo”. Here is a rather gruesome description of the process from the promotional material from a “physician” who has “been performing gender confirmation surgeries for more than 20 years”: “Gender Nullification”. Don’t look at the before-and-after photo gallery linked to this page.
Here’s another documentary from years ago:
This comment on the linked page was hilarious
“Patients can generally resume sexual activity in 1 to 2 months.”
As a knuckle-dragger, I tend to refer to the movement as Diversity, Inclusion, Equity. It has a snappy acronym – DIE. Some might say a prophetic acronym.
Kamala Harris explains artificial intelligence.
Nobody tosses a word salad like Kamala. But does artificial intelligence threaten those with her “gift”? I asked GPT-4:
Please write a three paragraph explanation of the term “Artificial Intelligence” in the speaking style of U.S. vice president Kamala Harris.
Here is its reply.
Well, let me be clear. Artificial Intelligence, or AI, is an immensely significant concept that has the potential to shape our future in profound ways. AI refers to the development of intelligent machines that can mimic and perform tasks that typically require human intelligence, such as learning, reasoning, and problem-solving. It encompasses a broad range of technologies and applications, including machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and robotics.
Now, AI has the power to revolutionize various sectors, from healthcare to transportation, from finance to education. It has the potential to improve efficiency, enhance decision-making processes, and even address some of our most pressing challenges. However, it’s important to approach AI with a careful and responsible mindset. We must ensure that the development and deployment of AI systems are guided by ethical principles, accountability, and transparency. We need to prioritize fairness, privacy, and security, as well as foster a diverse and inclusive AI ecosystem.
In conclusion, my friends, AI is a remarkable field that holds great promise for our society. It can empower us to tackle complex problems and create a better world for all. But we must proceed thoughtfully, with a deep understanding of its implications. By harnessing the potential of AI while safeguarding against its risks, we can chart a path forward that benefits everyone and upholds our values of justice and equity. Thank you.
It looks like you’re safe, Kamala, at least at the moment. GPT-4 actually makes sense.
AI surpasses US VP.
According to Willie Brown, that ain’t the only kind of salad she tosses like a pro.
