Even Switzerland has canceled freedom of speech!! I’m visiting my adult Swiss son in Zurich and he can’t believe this is possible in Switzerland. Both Zerohedge and Paris Match have reported that a journalist will go to jail for calling someone a “fat lesbian”! I suppose this means that, unlike defamation, truth is no defense to a “criminal” statement about members of groups who are “more equal” than others in true “Animal Farm” Orwellian fashion. I used to regard our “.ch” url as a protection of our freedom of speech. I guess my confidence was not well placed. Can we now be prosecuted for accurately reporting the actions of a Swiss court in Lausanne?

Legal question: if the Swiss defendant could prove in open court that (a) the aggrieved was “fat”, and (b) the aggrieved was a “lesbian”, then would those factual issues be enough to get a Not Guilty verdict?
Oops! Would the defendant also have to prove that the aggrieved self-identified as a “woman”?
