The Crazy Years

As a good example of repurposed intellectual goods, my newly minted MIT PhD daughter has gone from an strongly independent thinker to a groupthink spouter. That seems to be the only way to get ahead in academia any more.

It’s a good time to have reached retired slackerhood

That looks like the poster’s washer is using about 150MB/day, still an amazing amount for a washer unless it’s watching videos in it’s downtime. The rest appears to be their entire network

Gavin Newsom must be kicking himself for not thinking of that one.

Yes - wouldn’t it be completely consistent with the “rule of law” in CA for a bystander to be prosecuted on some pretext or other for merely making a video recording of a “smash and grab” event - especially if it were perpetrated by some justified victim of “oppression” illegal aliens and/or POC, whose US-taxpayer-funded vans await loading of the swag in the no parking zone outside the front door. We already know what happens to anyone who might - on some antiquated civic principle - try to impede what was (until recently) a felony.

I’m pretty sure this is fake news. After all, every time I visit, Wikipedia greets me with a prominent banner insisting that Wikipedia is not for sale! Surely no one could be profiting from their principled adherence to NPOV.
