The Ethics of Power Seeking

Sure, go ahead and exploit the holes in the system to gain control of it. But then, fix the system.

Trump is unique not only among Presidents but among politicians in that he has at least paid lip service to this on occasion. Among the most memorable times is when he admitted that his businesses “maybe” (iirc) should not have been permitted to hire some of their LEGAL migrant workers.

In the present circumstance, we’re entering into a time that I’ve been warning about since at least 1992 with a legislative proposal that is more timely than ever:

The warning?

Randroid NeoLibertarians are, wittingly or unwittingly, communist agents precisely because they opposed that 1992 reform.

It is now looking to be too late for the unwitting as they’re (at best) handing the West over to the communists.

If you want to play the commie demagogue game, just remember you are exploiting a hole in the system that my proposal would have fixed.

Happy Independence Day!

PS: Trump’s artificial intelligence czar did not support Hume’s Guillotine hence he has to argue causation with mere correlation.

withoutloss of growth momentum in the real economy

What Ms Tyson is trying to say is that China was very fortunate to have other countries stupid enough to run massive trade deficits by buying the products of China’s expanding real economy. The Central Bankers responsible for China’s undeniable success are the credentialed idiots in Western Central Banks who print money to enable their governments to run these unsupportable Trade Deficits.

The interesting question – one on which it is tough to get serious information – is to whom has the benefit of China’s expanding real economy accrued? How much of it accrued to the benefit of China’s people?

That depends on what you mean by “people” of course – given that China’s fertility rate is even worse than that of the Nation of Settlers of the United States.

But it would be even more interesting to compare what portions of the respective gene pools are being wiped out. In the US, it plainly is the more intelligent and attractive women since men can’t out bid The Economy for their fertile years as office ornaments in places like Bloomberg’s Manhattan offices.

It’s hard to believe the Chinese leadership is that unconscious.

I don’t believe the People’s Bank of China did anything like what I suggested as a transition to a single tax on liquidation value of net assets at the 30 year Treasury rate – and bypassing the central planners with that revenue going straight out as a citizen’s dividend:

Calculated recompense the citizenry for the theft of their earnings by the 16th Amendment. Real estate investment income – particularly land value income (including capital gains) – would be assessed as a legitimate use fee for protection of those property rights at higher liquidation value/nominal value than, for example, a company like Tesla or SpaceX.

Conflating such things is the business of commies.

Indeed! The Chinese gene pool starts out with the advantage of a slightly higher average and almost certainly a smaller left hand tail – especially after the Biden-era open borders policy pumped up that US left hand tail.

Demography is really interesting. It is like a glacier – it moves too slowly for us humans to take seriously, but over the long term it completely changes the landscape. But then occasionally we get a Black Death plague, or a 30 Years War, and the demographic balance is significantly reset. The only sure bet is that the world in 100 years (5 generations) is going to look very different. Chinese politicians seem to care what that future world is going to look like – Western politicians, not so much.

This is what I recalled Trump saying. But this move by Trump now after lo these many years would have been too late even 2016.

By now it’s nearly 30 years too late.

I have friends and colleagues that invested heavily in Dallas and I did warn them. They are at retirement or retired.

The neo libertarians did this to us… Just go back and listen to Ron Paul in the presidential debates.

Freidberg is such perfect Randoid neolibertarian that he suggests the Democrats can win votes by cutting government waste fraud and abuse, rather than suggesting that Republicans cut out the Democrat Middle People by replacing the commie form of WRC “trickledown” with a citizen’s dividend.

He’s even more of a babe in the woods than Elizabeth Warren with her inability to replace the 16th Amendment with a single flat tax on liquidation value of net assets.

Truly, a marriage made for a Hell On Earth.
