The usual suspect are prominently blaring and repeating the “news” that a Reuters/Ipsos poll showed Harris tied with Trump. This, after several others show her 8 - 10 points behind. The principle is: “lie early, lie often, lie loud”. As well, her first speech gave some reporter chills à la Obama! - but only through the Left Ear. Prepare yourself for the onslaught through election day, along with increasing doses of venom for Trump. May I suggest adding examples to this thread as they assault us?

Great idea, but I doubt we can keep up with ‘em. The media will elevate her to a combo of sainthood and movie star. Praying we can prevail.

- About half of the vice president’s staff is paid by the Senate, which requires regular disclosures. Of the 47 Harris staffers listed in 2021, only five still worked for her as of this spring, according to the disclosures. Her full staff list is not publicly disclosed.

When I wrote the OP, I could barely have imagined just how loud and pervasive the elevation of Kamala would be. Though studiously mute, she has become a media-created genius, ahead in all the polls. Trump has gone from a shoe-in to a total loser, along with Vance - portrayed as the most hated VP nominee, ever, according to Drudge! Walz’ lies and abysmal record evoke, what else - crickets.
In Slouching Towards Gomorrah, when he described numerous aspects of our culture (which has descended farther than imaginable from the golden days of 1996!), Bork said that living in such a society would be “bleak”. Even as I try to ignore the scripted and coordinated propaganda, that word recurs to me pretty much daily.

It is very strange. It seems like only a few months ago, the conventional wisdom was that “Joe Biden” had chosen Kamala as his VP as an insurance policy against any attempts to defenestrate him. She had such a track record of failure and had failed so miserably to attract support from Democrat voters that the Party insiders (our real rulers) would not want to see her replace “Joe Biden” – which is the only real role for a VP … apart from Border Czaring as required.
But that was then, and this is now!
