Elon Musk sent these E-mails on remote work at Tesla. These were posted on Twitter by a Tesla shareholder and Elon Musk later confirmed they are genuine according to an article in Fortune.

Asked about the authenticity of the E-mails on Twitter, he responded:

There had been some doubt about them due to the misspelling of “acceptble” in the subject line of the first message.

Do you suppose EM saw that recent impressive vid from Project Veritas, starring the Twitter employee running on about Twitter people do not put in any actual work hours unless they suddenly decide that their pleasure-budgets require a promotion with raise in salary?

With these tweets he reaps two benefits: shake things up and lay down the law at Tesla, and also shake things up at Twitter to induce another batch of sluggards to slope off.

It has been a couple of years since I took up a serious new hobby. This one, just following this thread and mentally embroidering speculations as they sprout up, is most rewarding. Thanks for creating it, as I would never read all the things in the disparate sources.

I am reading the Tim Parks translation of The Prince. Fun! NM gives exposition of the theory; EM provides an ongoing example for study and entertainment.

The purge begins:

Elon Musk has a “super bad feeling” about the economy and needs to cut about 10% of salaried staff at the electric carmaker, he said in emails seen by Reuters.

A message sent to executives on Thursday laid out his concerns and told them to “pause all hiring worldwide.” The dire outlook came two days after the billionaire told staff to return to the workplace or leave and adds to a growing chorus of warnings from business leaders about the risks of recession.

The “President” of the “United States” was asked about this at a “press conference” and “responded” as follows:

“…lots of luck on his trip to the Moon…”.

The “President” 's own executive branch agency, NASA, has contracted to pay Elon Musk’s SpaceX US$ 2.89 billion for its Starship HLS lunar lander vehicle, which is the only U.S. “government” funded way to land its civil service space cadets on the Moon.

Elon Musk responded:

We can be absolutely certain of one thing: NO Republicans on the list. If they existed it would be public and protracted.

Letter from Musk lawyer to Twitter:

…Mr. Musk does not agree with the characterizations in Twitter’s June 1 letter. Twitter has, in fact, refused to provide the information that Mr. Musk has repeatedly requested since May 9, 2022 to facilitate his evaluation of spam and fake accounts on the company’s platform. Twitter’s latest offer to simply provide additional details regarding the company’s own testing methodologies, whether through written materials or verbal explanations, is tantamount to refusing Mr. Musk’s data requests. Twitter’s effort to characterize it otherwise is merely an attempt to obfuscate and confuse the issue. Mr. Musk has made it clear that he does not believe the company’s lax testing methodologies are adequate so he must conduct his own analysis. The data he has requested is necessary to do so.

[big snip]

Based on Twitter’s behavior to date, and the company’s latest correspondence in particular, Mr. Musk believes the company is actively resisting and thwarting his information rights (and the company’s corresponding obligations) under the merger agreement. This is a clear material breach of Twitter’s obligations under the merger agreement and Mr. Musk reserves all rights resulting therefrom, including his right not to consummate the transaction and his right to terminate the merger agreement.

Project Veritas posts video of Elon Musk’s address to Twitter employees:

Project Veritas has just released what is described as a screen capture of Twitter’s internal Slack channel with employee comments during Elon Musk’s question and answer session. Much of it scrolls too quickly to read, so you’ll have to pause and restart as you read. The k key will do this in the YouTube browser client.

From the NY Post article

On Wednesday, Insider reported that Musk fathered his eighth and ninth children with Shivon Zilis, the 36-year-old director of operations and special projects at Neuralink.

Special projects? Ahem…

Seriously, the man is amazing! Where does he find the time or the energy? He is the Key Man at two full-time mega jobs with Tesla and SpaceX, not to mention the time he has to invest in StarLink and the Boring Company and all those other places where he keeps his iron in the fire (if you will excuse the expression).
